Beethoven book release in Vienna

End 2013 Jan Caeyers presented the German translation of his book to a selected audience of Beethoven experts and enthusiasts in the Palais Lobkowitz in Vienna.

In the music city of Vienna, together with Bonn the most important Beethoven city, Beethoven expert Jan Caeyers presented his book Beethoven. Der einsame Revolutionär. Eine Biographie. This book release was held in a strongly symbolic location: the famous Palais Lobkowitz where Beethoven's Eroica had its première.

The book release was organised by the University of Vienna, the Wiener Beethoven Gesellschaft and the German publisher C.H. Beck.

Prof. Dr. Birgit Lodes, head of the musicology department at the University of Vienna, had an animated discussion with Jan Caeyers on certain perspectives and insights committed to paper in his Beethoven biography.
